When my friend suggested this book to me and told me I was going to cry, I didn’t believe her,
girls, but she was right. Burnt Orange: Color Me Wasted is one of those modern day, easy to follow books that gives you a laugh and yet a sense of understanding. It’s one of those “been there, done that” kind of stories that youthey can relate to pretty easily. Color Me Wasted is a book that’s funny, a little bit suspenseful, heart jerking with overwhelming emotions, and has an ending that will literally bring tears in your eyes. The ending is not exactly what you may expect but its good nonetheless. It expresses issues with faith that we have within ourselves today and yet shows the power of the grace of God in every way.

Burnt Orange is about a teenage girl struggling to make a decision about alcohol. She is experiencing the peer pressure of alcohol and doesn’t know how to handle it. She used to
also be very involved in church and a youth group, but she makes a new friend named Claire. Claire is a bad influence on her and she starts to make the wrong decisions. Even though she feels like she will never be able to be who she used to be, the innocent, Christian girl, somehow she finds her way back to God. I love all of Melody Carlson’s books but this oneenjoyed by far is my favorite. It tells a story of a real life situation and how to handle it the right way.men.

Black and White is one of the greatest books I have ever read. It is
a stunning revolution, book that contains physical activity and teaches you a farmlesson about life as a teen. Black and White is taken over by its abused, ill-treated animals. After the war, the newborn society brings upon itself democratic idealism. However, itabout two young boys named Marcus and Eddie, and they are stars of their High School basketball team at Long Island City High School. Marcus is only ideal for individuals in power who can become severely corrupted. Consequently, black and Eddie is white, but they got past all the animals with any morals leftracial issues. They are both looking forward to having great college futures in basketball. Then one cold night, something goes wrong and they make a huge mistake. Now the cannot turn back, and one of them must choose their pathhas to oppose tyrannypay. If you are interested in basketball books, and totalitarianism. Orwell's Animal Farm was published over 65 years ago targeting Stalinist Russia, yet its message today cuts withif you like having cliff hangers at the end of every chapter, then this is the book that you are looking for. I had not been much of a razorreader until I found this book, and now I read a lot just as sharp as it was in the Communist Era.because of it.
