It puts you in the hands of Katniss, as she goes through the adventures of the hunger games. Katniss lives in district twelve and she is trying to survive with her mother and sister. She and Peeta (the bread man) are chosen to represent their district in the games, and they have to go through rounds of killing people to survive on their own. The last man standing wins and helps their district. If you are interested in a book that is action-packed and heart-wrenching, then this is the book to read. 4/7/2011 by Jami K. Have you heard about The Hunger Games? If not, you're missing out on this futuristic novel about a lovely seventeen year old girl named Katniss Everdeen. When Katniss's little sister, Primrose, was chosen as a tribute in the hunger games, Katniss volunteered to take Prim's place to show her love for her little sister. In these sick and twisted games, the tributes do whatever they can to stay alive against twenty-four other tributes from the other districts. Everyone is out to get them, and everyone wants them dead. Does Katniss make the cut, or will she be cut? Read this suspenseful story that keeps readers on the edge of their seats more and more with every page turned. You won't regret it! 4/7/2011 by Brandon M. It is early Tuesday morning and the games are about to begin. I get distracted by Peeta and the the bell goes off. I run for the backpack about 50 yards in front of me. When I get there district 2's boy meets me there, and we start struggling for the backpack. Then--out of nowhere--wet warm blood spills upon me. I wipe my eyes and see a knife protruding out of his neck. Then I realize that district 4's girl is coming upon me. I think, "Is this the end?" If you enjoy a good mystery or action book, then this is your book. I highly recommend it. Want to submit a review? Click here.
