The Guardian is about a woman who, after her husband dies, receives a gift that he left her. The gift was a dog named Singer, who turns out to be her guardian. After trying to move on, she finds another guy, Richard. She soon realizes the guy is not for her and she breaks it off, but Richard refuses to let go. After that she starts seeing her husband's best friend, Mike. The rejection is just too much for Richard to handle. This is where the story gets interesting. If you are used to Nicholas Sparks' books, this is not one of his normal love stories. It is a pulse-pounding, breathtaking, suspenseful and intriguing story. 4/8/2011 by Rashelle K.

He leaves her a dog and a letter telling her he will always watch over her, but she doesn't understand the gifts. Four years after the death of her husband, she thinks its time to to date. Should she be with Richard or Mike? She just wants to be in love with the right one. Richard is handsome, yes, but he is also different.
