The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain is filled with mischievous actions; however, the actions that Huck and Jim take backfire on them in weird ways throughout the story. The story begins where Huck is being taking care of by Mrs. Watson who transforms Huck into a churchgoing young man. His father shows up and threatens to kill Huck unless he gives him the money which he had received at the end of the last book (if you like Mark Twain then you’ll like The Adventures of Tom Sawyer). After being threatened Huck runs away and is later caught by his father and held captive. Jim, Mrs. Watson’s slave, in the meantime runs away as well because he was going to be sold down to New Orleans. Huck and Jim find each other by complete accident on an island in the middle of the Mississippi River, stick together, and try to not be found by anybody; in doing so they make up names, and meet very interesting characters along the way.
